Improve your productivity, learn new features all whilst playing a game in Microsoft Office Applications!

This article is especially helpful for ECDL / ICDL or  students not familiar with the Microsoft Office suite 2007 and Office 2010, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Excel and  OneNote.  I came across Ribbon Hero a add-on application while I was exploring Microsoft Office Labs which has some great experimental work from Microsoft focused on the Microsoft Office.

What is Ribbon Hero?

It’s a game that you can play whilst you learn about the ribbons (tools) in each Microsoft Office suite Package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote!).

Play games (aka “challenges”), score points, and compete with your friends while improving your productivity with Office.

Why is this at the Office Labs?

Well it is a concept test, this is an opportunity for you to try an idea that Office Labs is working on and let them know what you think.

It is prototype training tool. Be aware of any risks associated with the word ‘prototype’. I must say that it did not crash on me ever since I’ve installed (September 2010) so for me it has been quite dependable.

Where the fun in this?

Try it and you will see for yourself. Connect it with you Facebook account and see if you are better than your mates.
